The plan to cut the Unites States debt by $3 trillion dollars
Most people are tuned into the news about the United States debt. President Obama has a plan to cut the debt by $3 trillion dollars. In my opinion is that, the wealthiest people are the ones that can save us the most. The reason why is because, the question you must ask is how did these people become as rich as they are now. My answer to my question is that the general public are the ones that are responsible for these people riches. If it wasnt for us, how would they be as successful now, as they are now. The upper class men and women should help us get out of the debt, by taking responsibility by paying higher taxes. "Those who have done well -- including me -- should pay our fair share in taxes to the country that made our success possible", says President Obama. Some people are saying that president Obama is trying to score points, by raising the taxes on job creators because he could get some liberal voter's votes. The Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, says that this will only make Americans lose more jobs. The reason why is because the tax payers might not want to pay higher taxes if they want to keep the people's wages the same. This is not the only strategy that president Obama has. Some of the money could be gained back when we cut back some of the money that we have given to the war in Iraq and Afghanistan by $1.1 trillion. Once we get this money back we can move forward and start to gain money. However, none of these plans have been completed and reveiwed till it is clear to the public. Time will tell if we ever will get this money back or our debt will keep increasing.

senior management
Recently I was reading an article on women holding senior management postions, and I learned some facts on the percentage rates from 2007 to 2011. Women have been downgraded on jobs throughout the past few years with these senior management positions. Women currently hold 20% of senior managment positions globally, down from 24% in 2009. As stated by the Grant Thornton International Business Report. However women in Asia are still holding the largest amount of senior management postions, with Thailand leading at 45%. Female executives seem to be bearing the brunt of the economic downturn, resorting back to 2004 levels. Some buinesses need to examine their support to women to fall in line with quotas on female board representation. Of the companies who employ women in senior management postions 22% are in the financial market.

Minimum Wage
Well I just read something on the minimum wage in Asia, I really didnt know if this was the "topic" we are blogging about but I put this as a start. In this article, which was posted on CNN's Business section, states that we the people are all equal in this battle on wages. On May 1st this year, the minimum wage in Hong Kong was finally stated at $3.60 an hour. Now, the people of Hong Kong fought for this information to be released in 1999. The Hong Kong government had 12 years just to say that their minimum wage was just $3.60 an hour. If this was me I know I would have fought for this also. Of course the government made excuses for the reason why they finally released this, which was that if they released this earlier they would have lost jobs. Now if I would have known that I was only making $3.60 an hour and compare that to making nothing I would have kept the job. The Union leaders dug dip into this info and found out that this was not even enough for the "low-income" families. They (Union Leaders) asked if Hong Kong could raise the minimum wage a dollar more. Now, what do you think the government of Hong Kong did? Well I tried to dig around to gain more information into this manner and the Hong Kong resources have not released anything new to this subject and that answer is a NO. May 7th Taiwan's government wanted a 3% increase in the minimum wage. The difference between Taiwan and other countries is that their wage keeps increasing. The big question of Taiwan's government is; will the minimum wage keep increasing? On the 8th of May Abhisit Vejjajiva, the Prime Minister of Thailand thought that it would be a good idea to say that the minimum wage should be increased by 25% over the next two years. These requests for increasing their wages is not just for the people's benefits but also for the governement standards. If the wages increase so does the government standards. This article ask for you to think about this, and how it affects you. Even though we are still in high school, this affects us in many ways than one.
